If the person owing you money disputes the amount claimed they must provide you with a payment schedule.

This must be provided to you within 10 days (or earlier in some cases) and must include reasons why they do not agree to pay any or the full amount on your payment claim.

If you aren’t satisfied with the explanation provided, and/or they don’t pay you by the due date for payment you may apply for adjudication.
